Council of Architecture, COA organizes Architecture entrance examination for the admission to five years architecture programme in India.  JEE Paper-2, AAT and NATA Examination are the common entrance tests of this category.

More than 95% of candidates of a year are getting admission to B-Arch course through the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). COA regulates rules and regulations for NATA examination and declares the syllabus every year at end of December.

The syllabus contains the details of topics covered, maximum and minimum marks, Duration and mode of examination, etc. The three subject parts of NATA examination are Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing. The first two sections will be conducted online and the next part drawing will be a paper-based offline test.

Every year, only the below 5% students of the B-Arch aspirants in India get the opportunity through JEE Paper-2 Examination. JEE Paper-2 has a syllabus almost similar to the NATA in the case of topic covers in the examination. Duration, mark distribution, question pattern, etc are deferent from NATA Examination. The top scorers of JEE paper-2 are eligible for B-Arch and B-Planning curses offered by NITs in Idea.

Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is another examination for getting admission to B-arch course in India. The AAT examination is conducted by IIT, Mumbai. Below 1% candidate of a year in India gets eligibility for IIT admission.

The candidates those who want to get this chance have to qualify the JEE paper-1. The qualified candidates can apply the JEE advanced which is known as AAT. The Syllabus of AAT is similar to NATA but the examination will be conducted with the next level questions of NATA Examination.
